Is it possible to remove the old plagic colonisation, adaptable colonisation and crystalline colonisation techs from the tech tree? I want to research terraforming, but getting all those first will take way too long, and as they are no use now is a waste of points. Also I think terraforming (10000+ points) is too high, its really important so should be easier to get early on I think...

Also, 10000 production for terraforming is way too high, expecialy for crystalline planets, these have a max population between 1 and 4, so making 10000 production on one of these planets is impossible...

I think it should depend on the planet how much it takes, for example:

Crystalline -> Adaptable = 250 x size

Adaptable -> Plagic = 500 x size

Plagic -> Terrestrial = 1000 x size

Terrestrial -> Alpha Gaea = 2000 x size

Something like this would make much more sence, where size is the planet size from 1 - 5, this way it will be related to how much production a planet can make. Obviously a small planet should be easier than a large planet, and getting from a basic level to a high level should be harder

Well i agree with you that it would take forever to terraform a crystalline planet, you have to also take into consideration what the terraforming process actually involves.

Terraforming an entire planet from a more or less desolate rock WILL take an ungodly amount of time. I think that the better a planet is, the easier it is to terraform because you have to alter it less and less each time.

Yes they will be changed. About real values we should think a little, I expect terraforming some were in the middle of the game. So I'll have to make some statistics first. How much research point you could get from all your empires at this moment?

I would anticipate getting somewhere close to 500 or more if i had 5 planets similar to what my home planet was like.

Provided that my buildings last long enough for me to guess at that this time...

Well, it depends, in theory I could get probably 5000+ as I have 51 planets now

But I just dont have time to build on them all, seriously, I have grown so fast the last few days, its crazy

Anyway, I could easily have 100 by tomorrow, but I dont have time to do that I dont think...

Anyway, about science, I am making 164 points right now, and thats with 51 planets...although I guess once they are up and running I will have no problems researching anything in 1 turn, but I will need a few hours for ordering buildings porbably

So, I dont know, whats my maximum possible is...very high probably

Just an idea, maybe reverse the terraforming path, so it goes:

X-colonisation > Terraforming > Gaea Concept Theory > Pelagic Terraforming > Adaptable Terraforming > Crystalline Terraforming

This way, you can first terrafom terrestrial planets when you have gaea concept theory, but to terraform the other planet types you need to research more and more.

Crystalline will be hardest to research, but these should be harder as they are most barren planets.

Going from terrestrial to alpha gaea will help you imporve home planet early on, but as good terrestrial are rare, wont be a huge advantage early on

Crystalline that have best resources will take alot longer to get...

Good idea, I'll have to think about it and how it could be implemented without rewriting half of the system

So when teraforming it moves up through the same class???

I mean I terraformed a planet and it went from Plagic Swamp to Plagic Ocean, and not to terrestrial...

Is this right? Because its going to take FOREVER to terraform the worst type of crystalline to alpha gaea, their are like 9 steps!!! If this is the case it needs to be a lot lower, it would take almost the whole round to get upto that level...

Anyway, so thats what alpha gaea look like . I always wondered from DQ:E as they had no detail on their

It makes sense if you think about it.

Youre shaping a freaking planet for god sake, no one said itd be easy or cheap

BTW: Hold on to your butts; Operation ZCS is now underway

No, but for what you gain, it should be relative to what you spend. And this isnt real, if it takes too much people wont bother...

Whats that? I am guessing something to do with colonisation though...

Seeing how terraforming is working I tend to leave values as is, maybe to decrease terraforming cost to 8000. I do agree that terraforming should go from class to class, bypassing all subclasses.

Well i guess it makes sense the other way now that i think about it. You dont really gain much moving through the subclasses, so it should go class to class.

And Operation ZCS (z0mg colony ships) is taking place now

This is awesome, i have just enough time to order around my colony ships and assign build orders to my planets and manage researches just before a new turn ticks

How are all your planets now K, up over 150 yet? 70% still just kinda existing?

Half of my planets are up to date and build the new buildings i just finish researching.

If only i had the ships researched, i could make so many ships in no time.

Nope, I have been away a few days, just got back a short time ago . But now I'm ready to start mass colonisation again, and trying to get alpha gaea on all planets.
