Lets try to compile a little guide as to which planets and stars are best.

Asteroid Large - 0 people
Asteroid Medium - 0 people

Crystalline Huge
Crystalline Large - 4 people
Crystalline Medium - 3 people
Crystalline Small - 2 people
Crystalline Tiny - 1 people
Adaptable Huge
Adaptable Large - 8 people
Adaptable Medium - 6 people
Adaptable Small - 4 people
Adaptable Tiny
Pelagic Huge
Pelagic Large - 12 people
Pelagic Medium - 9 people
Pelagic Small - 6 people
Pelagic Tiny
Terrestrial Huge
Terrestrial Large - 16 people
Terrestrial Medium
Terrestrial Small
Terrestrial Tiny
Alpha Gaea Huge
Alpha Gaea Large

Stars im not really sure on, hard to tell if and how they differ based on color alone.

Firstly it may be best rewrite the list so that it includes every possible planet type.
Just put ??? if you dont know tha ammount, this way we can make a complete list.
Tiny Crystaline = 1
Gas giant = 0
medium terrestrial = 12
BTW the stars are EXACTLY the same as in DQ:E, they must use the same map or something. Just start TG in dq:e and look at the map, I bet you will find your home system and all ths stars near you. I can.

I think all planets of the same class are the same, not sure though...so like plagic swamp is the same as plagic ocean?
Also see what I said above about stars being the same in DQ:E

Oh, i think pelagic ocean and swamp are the same, different sized though.
So its gonna confuse me lol.

No, its just how the picture looks, in all other ways they seem the same. All types have differences, like arid, radiated, etc.
Anyway here is the list:
