Farm Complex:

Farms used for growing food for your empire. These farms use basic human driven machines to prepare the land, fertilise the crops and harvest the food.

Production Complex:

Factories that can produce anything your empire needs. While some attempts at automation have been successful, many areas still require the attention and supervision of humans.

Automated Farm:

Farms that can do many standard tasks automatically. These farms use a series of pipes and rails to transport nutrients and water to the crops, and to carry many specialised machines across the fields. While they may be partly automated, human input is still required at times.

Automated Factories:

Factories that have been automated for the mass production of various goods. These factories while automated still require humans to supply and supervise them.

Soil Enrichment:

Soil enrichment plants are the center of your planets irrigation network. Using grey water and a mixture of organic and inorganic fertilisers, they provide a plentiful supply of nutrient rich water for your farms.

Underground Farms:

Underground farms provide additional space for growing food. While utilising supplies of natural ground water and surface run off for irrigation, they also redirect excess water back into the planets irrigation network for use else where. This combined with their sheltered location and highly efficient artificial lighting, provides an ideal environment for growing almost all types of crops.

Food Replicators:

Food replicators analyse the structure of certain foods and recreate them artificially. Of these the most common are milk, fats and meat. The use of food replicators can almost entirely replace the need for livestock, and can provide these foods much more efficiently than farming them.

Weather Control Network:

The weather control network uses geothermal energy and volcanic gasses to alter the planets climate and weather. The most common uses include the rapid evaporation of water to form clouds and to alter humidity, and the addition and removal of carbon dioxide to alter the climate. Careful and localised control of these actions can allow many different ecosystems to be created on the same planet, and make them suitable for any number of agricultural purposes.

I prefer not to mention any real food we are consuming. We don't know what people will eat in 100-200 year from now. So "Of these the most common are milk, fats and meat." should be excluded. Next, Food Replicators, does not replace all other buildings, but give you a new additional way of producing food, thus freeing some hands for other assignments.

In DQ:H we plan to restrict some buildings for some planet types. For example all food buildings that require fertile soil will not be possible on crystalline planets for example, and here Food Replicators would cone very handy as it doesn't need any soil.

Weather Control Network:

The weather control network uses geothermal energy and volcanic gazes to alter the planets climate and weather. The most common uses include the rapid evaporation of water to form clouds and to alter humidity, and the addition and removal of carbon dioxide to alter the climate. Careful and localized control of these actions can allow many different ecosystems to be created on the same planet, and make them suitable for any number of agricultural purposes.

Changed it a little bit and implemented: "The weather control network uses geothermal energy, micro wave manipulation and condensing manipulation to alter the planets climate and weather. The most common uses include the rapid evaporation of water to form clouds and to alter humidity, and the addition and removal of carbon dioxide to alter the climate. Careful and localized control of these actions can allow many different ecosystems to be created on the same planet, and make them suitable for any number of agricultural purposes."

Not sure 'condensing manipulation' sounds right, not sure exactly what could be said instead, maybe:

The weather control network uses geothermal energy and microwaves to alter the planets climate and weather. The most common uses include the rapid evaporation of water to form clouds and to alter humidity, and the addition and removal of carbon dioxide to change the climate. Careful and localized control of these actions can allow many different ecosystems to be created on the same planet, and make them suitable for any number of agricultural purposes.

Else its using the words 'alter' and manipulation' are being repeated a lot

If we say "microwaves" it restricts up to only this methods. May be 'condensing methods' instead? Thats way we are open to different technologies including microwaves.

Yeah, maybe say 'various condensing methods' that should be fine then

Food Replicators:

Food replicators analyse the molecular structure of certain foods and recreate them artificially, and in many cases are faster than growing the food naturally. They do however have limitations, and produce exact copies of the sample material, thus producing food that often lacks the taste and variety of farmed foods. Even so, they are valuable in places where the climate is unsuitable for agriculture.

Automated Mining Facility:

New mining techniques have made it possible to automate mining almost totally. Using strategically placed tunnels and bore holes, these mines can move ores deep into the planets crust, and utilise the heat naturally present to melt and extract metals of value. While humans are still required to make decisions about where to mine, and to deal with unexpected problems, the mines generally run unsupervised for much of the time.

Nano Assembling Lines:

These advanced assembling plants use clusters of microscopic nano machines to create a huge variety of products. While they tend to be suited to products that are small in size, they are extremely accurate and can handle very complex designs. Because of this these plants are ideal for producing items for use in computing and robotics.

Core Mining Facility:

I dont really know how you can mine the planets core, if its so hot wont it all be lava?

I guess that you could remove metals etc as they form from reactions in the crust, but is this mining? I guess it is...

Anyway, how do you get to the core? Through large tunnels to the center? But then that would cause a volcano ...

Any ideas?

Research Center:

Well equipped laboratories where scientists can work and learn, as well as experiment with new ideas and technology. While much research must still be done ‘in the field’ these labs provide an ideal base for scientists to their daily jobs.

Planetary Supercomputer:

As processing power reached its limit, and as data transfer speeds improved, more and more effort was invested into distributed processing. The planetary supercomputer is testament to this effort. By linking thousands of supercomputers to form one distributed system, it is possible to process vast quantities of data, so scientists can model and test ideas quicker than ever before.

Automatic Laboratory:

Automated laboratories that carry out repetitive experiments automatically. While their uses are limited, they are ideal for repetitive and long experiments that require constant monitoring and minor adjustments.

Astro University:

A state of the art university specialising in all forms of science. These universities train the next generation of scientists, and provide facilities for researchers to work. Many experiments involve the study of existing production techniques, so also provide a small addition to your empires resource production.

Well, its called 'core', but extraction could be done on a higher layers, but still too deep so it could be called 'core'.

Ok, I will have a think about how this could work

Also, maybe it would be better to rename 'Planetary Supercomputer' to 'Planetary Supercomputer Network'

Maybe that fits the explanation better?
