There are only 4 messages associated with psi-storm:
"Insufficient biogel for psi-storm",
"Psi-Fluctuations were not sensed",
"Psi-Fluctuations were sensed",
"Target too far or psi damage too low."
You can guess, what they mean

I think this is not good idea to show haw many damage your storm produced. By the other words, it is not good to show how many units are in the current location. But ... may be there are other opinions?

I think the like xx% of enemy were destoryed message is a usable option, but i totaly disagreed to leak precise information on target.

Using math, a person would technically be able to calculate how much more of a psi-storm was required in order to destroy the forces in that coordinate. Using prior/current knowledge of how much psi-storm is required to destroy a certain unit/s, a person could theoretically calculate the makeup of that force. I think the admins are seeking to avoid that.
How about this option:
There are X levels of damage that a Psi-storm can do (n, n+1, n+2.. or n, n^2, n^3.. whatever) and the message that appears gives the attacker ONE of the "X" levels, so that the attacker knows roughly how much damage was done.. and can decide whether to attack more or not.
For example, if I use 500 resources (I forget exactly what is used so I can't get technical about it) to attack a quad... and it is not a good attack.. I get a message saying "Psi-fluctuations sensed.. Level 1 achieved"
But then if I use 500,000,000 resources.. and it's a GREAT attack, the message would say "Psy-fluctuations sense... Level 74 achieved"
I'm not sure of the calculations or math or programming or whatever behind the game so I can't really help out that much except by giving general ideas.. but what do you guys think of this?

good idea...psi storms annoy the crap outta me atm
have no idea what kind of dmg was done, it could be 1 unti or 1mil units, kinda hard to know except by using the amt of res used against the theorised size of the opposing force : /
btw Paulg = who ingame? (thought it was rash...might be wrong )
