Yeah, thats what I was thinking also. Gas Giants, asteroids, small planets and even crystalline/adaptable are not any/much use. I haven't colonised anything less than large adaptable planets, because their is no point in taking others.

This was sort of my thinking, if it were easier to terraform, I would be more likely to take the other planet types, as it would be easy to upgrade them. As it is, I dont need to, and just take large plagic mostly...

I think their should be some use for small planets and asteroids/gas giants etc. Maybe as mining stations. This won't be the same as colonisation, but more that you send a special type of ship to the planet to extract resorces. It won't be owned by you, so if someone colonises they can take it still, but it gives the empty planets some use

Currently you have a lot of large terran or pelagic planets with rich minerals and you don't realy have to colonize other types. In final version finding large pelagic with average/rich/ultra rich mineral abundance will be almost imposible. Crystalline planets usually will be reach in minerals. So if you would like to have a great industry planet you will be forced to colonize crystalline planets too.

At the end all stops in balancing the game

That makes sence. Also more realistic because the real galaxy probably isnt full of earth like planets. It will be up to people to make them better as they need...

Also, it makes invasion more useful. Because you can invade a good planet that someone has already terraformed, and this may be easier than colonising a poor planet and imporving it yourself.

Just an idea about ship speeds. I think the base speed should be increased just a little, but I think that equipment should slow them down.

Things like turrets/torpedoes and mostly armour should have a weight, and putting it on ships slows them down. Sheilds can have no weight (as they are energy) but these should provide less defence than armour, but won't slow the ship down.

This means that within classes we can make our own sub classes, like light cruiser, or heavy cruiser etc.

Speed should also have some advantage in battle, like maybe higher evasion or something...small ships should also have high evasion, while large ships low evasion.

I think in DQ:E you had vunrability or something, when dammage was not equaly shared over all ships, but more towards some types than others. Maybe evasion can effect this in some way

Just a few ideas about the build menus. For the building menues on planets, could it be made so that it has all buildings listed with pictures, and you just click the building to add it to queue. It could have a border (like with science) thats red for not built, green for building(in queue) and white for built.

This would make it much easier than having to keep opening the menus all the time, also for ships could it be possible to enter a number you with to build, like when adding weapons to ships. This would make it quicker than having to enter one at a time.

Also, just an idea for fleets. Like with stars, when moving a fleet could it be possible to click an enemy fleet instead of a star. This would make the fleet move towards it, even if it moves. So it would follow the enemy fleet, and if faster catch up to it and attack.

Ok i was thinking about this before and forgot the idea, but i just remembered it now

I would like to request that you can add as many systems as you want into your ships.

By this i mean adding multiple shield systems or armors.

I know i would have use for them, some of my ship classes would be improved dramatically by having several shields on them.

Well, the list is quite bug for this page and I want it small as much as possible. When implementing we had just a list of all buildings and it was huge for this screen. Maybe we will change something in future just for optimizing things, etc.

Unfortunately it is not possible. Game mechanics does not allow a "free" flight. Any fleet can travel from system to system only. What could be done in future is to recall your fleet back.

Sorry, but this is not possible too. Again game mechanics doesn't allow it. Each ship can have 1 engine, 1 shield, 1 armor type, 1 computer only and many weapons.

Could it be possible to change a ship path to another star? Instead of just calling it back to the start?

You can command a fleet only when it is in a system. If it is between two systems you cannot change its destination.

Oh, ok. That could be a bit of a problem, expecialy if you need to regroup your fleets quickly or want to gather your fleets for an attack, or if your enemy starts to move and other things...is this impossible to implement, or just not planned?

Its a problem, but not too big of one. I mean itll suck in the Eye or Pleiades where there are giant gulfs of nothing at times, but for TG, you just star hop.

Can we have one or two new galaxies? I think that would be awesome and i know K will agree.

These can come last though on the "things to do" list.

Yeah, but that takes a longer didtance and so is slower, also you would have to keep changing the fleet path every time it arrives, so more work than its worth...

I know you can teleport fleets, but this was one of the biggest problems with fagur, and its also going to make many things harder, like waiting before you send fleets into a star, I always waited by the star, untill I was ready. Now you have no choice and can't plan your attack stage by stage...for example I kept my transports out of battle untill the capital ships cleared the fleets and orbital bases, then sent in the invasion forces.

I dont know, we will have to see how it goes...

Yeah some new galaxies would be great, but they should be really interesting ones, with many natural wormholes and black holes, since players can't make their own.

How are galaxies made? Because maybe we could think of some ideas for them...each galaxy can have vantage points etc, and controling these will give you a good control over the galaxy.

For example, a galaxy that is separated into sections by black holes. As fleets can't stop in space, only a few paths between 2 special placed stars can be safe ways through. So whoever controls these stars has the advantage My thoughts on this is like 2 galaxys colliding, and the edges of each are surrounded by BH. So you have like 2 rings of BH that have collided, and split the galaxy into 2. Their could be maybe 2 or 3 ways through, but no more. Meaning you have to try and find one of these stars, send your fleets to the star, then to the next etc. I think this would be a really good and dangerous galaxy and give some strategy to how players colonise planets by location, and not just resources etc...

Their could also be a few lone stars, that can only be reached by going to one star, then the next then the next. This would make them safe places, as if you control the first star, enemys cant get to the next without passing your first star and fleet first
