Sorting for this page is a full page reload, i propose add sort param to html page parameters and reload page with sorting change.
default can be unsorted.

On another side I would like to have as less is possible ships. Hundreds of ships should be a very big fleet in the game.

I think it should be possible to multi order ships, but to stop huge fleets growing too quick, the order should remain in queue untill you have enough production to build all the ships.
So, if I have a ship that requires 2000 production to build, and I order 10 of these, then it would stay in queue untill that planet has 20000 production points, and then all 10 ships will build at once. They wont build one at a time. For this you would have to place separate orders.
This also works better for the services option. Because it makes ordering lots of ships hard without services.
I think it would be good to have this, but its not so important as some other features. Sort of an extra change for after everything important is done.

In MOO2 total number of Ships are limited by command Points.
Number of Planets, Starbases etc define overall command points for empire.
May be adding of command points system solve problem with big fleets.
Now in game is too hard to build powerful fleet with smallships,
But Queue is limited and we lost many building points on small ship build .
You can limit producing by ships class (reason is shipyard workplace)
For ex.
Orbital Shipyard can queue max
100 drone or
20 corvett or
10 Frigate or
5 Destroyer or
3 battleship or
1 Titan

Thats a good idea
Maybe instead of those numbers, it should be based on ship space. For example, a drone has 10 space, a colony ship has 30, and a titan has 1600.
Each construction yard could have, for example 2000 space. So, you could order 1 titan, or 200 drones, or 66 colony ships etc

Now i see that is too difficult to change order in building and research queues.
I propose to change functionality of green and yellow small arrows.
Now they change position in queue by one step, i think that better if they will change position to first or last.

| Actually, I don't agree. I use quite often reordering of the priorities inside the list. Making it first or last would complicate it a lot.

You can also reordering with changing position to first or last.

Now with using unlimited queue is nightmare to moving new research to top in queue.
For example i placed to queue all research as possible (reason : non stopped researches),
then after some researches completed new technologies are open to research, one of they is a "Colony ship".
I need to move it to the first place ..... total nightmare.

| This is because you have this service. Usual player will not have it. Anyway, to solve this problem we could add a button move to top.. Don't think that move last will be used very often.
