Ok, here are some more ideas:
Constellations:
Players could mark cosntelations and make shapes with stars and name them. Its has not real point, but adds something extra to do in the game.
Could have a constelations viewer, so you can view all constelations made by other players (on the galaxy map), and maybe use them for navigation etc. You could choose what constelations you display or hide.
It has some uses, for example, if you are giving someone your location, you could say what constelation you are near
Asteroids:
As I said before, in general, planets that are poor have no real use, and same for gas giants and asteroids.
Resources are important, but in DQ:E, poor planets had uses, such as science or military bases.
There needs to be some use for these, poor planets, and also for gas giants and asteroids.
For asteroids could have a hide option, where fleets in systems could use asteroid belts as a place to hide. If a system has asteroids, then fleets could be given the command to hide in them, increasing evasion by 100% or something. A large ammount either way. Also, if hiding then other empires will not see the fleet on the map. Useful for secretly prepairing an invasion
Only one empire (or its allies) can hide in a single asteroid at a time, so if another empire tries to enter same asteroids, they wont be allowed. This makes asteroids a tactical advantage in battle.

Also, I think a polution building is needed from the start. Recycling center takes a long time to get, and only provides 5 polution removal.
Maybe a building like Waste Dump (landfill site) could be availiable without research, and give 5 polution removal. It can cost maybe 30 production points to build.

| As much as I like this idea I don't realy want to give such a posibility to players. I think we ca implement constelations and put them once for each galaxy, then just showing. In any case this feature would have very low priority

| Hiding fleets in asteroid field would require lots of changes and reprogramming. Yes, asteroids and gas giants are usless for now, but we have in our plans a technology "Planet formation" that would allow you buiding new suitable planets from asteroids and gaz giants, preserving their size and mineral abundance.

| This is arguable I have a Recicle Center on all colonies already. On another hand we don't realy want to have "clean" industry from the beginning. Otherwise why bothering about pollution.

Yeah, I guess you dont need clean production from start, pollution is not such a huge problem...
How much does 1 polluction effect production etc?
Maybe it should be added to the resource page of the guide.

So do you mean that YOU make constelations, and they are always a part of the galaxy? That works also, and that solves overlapping, and some other problems.

Ok, that sounds good. And would make it possible to have HUGE planets also.

| I don't remember (I wrote about it somewhere on forum). I'll take a look in DB and let you know.

Ok.
Also, something else. Is it possible to set up a 'food shipment' option for allies?
Basicaly, you set how many units of food will be sent to an ally each turn, and will take freighters. If you do this, then your ally gets that food each turn, like it was comming from their own planets.
But if the supplier runs out, then they stop supplying alies first, before own population dies.
Also, could a money transfer option be added?

| Yes that exactly what I meant.

| The idea is good and logical, but personally I wouldn't do this. Any transfer between empires could lead to "multies" (i.e. one empire is pumped up by many small empires).
Lets see what other people say.
