Just thinking back to DQ:E, and often people would try and use your empire name for either posting on the forums, or to make others not join your alliance, by posting bad things on the forum or sending private messages in your name. It was quite annoying at times.
Could it be possible to have an option in your account page to have a ruler and empire name that is linked to your account, so that other players cant use it? Same with alliance names also would be good.
Each account can have only 1, and they can change this, only if the new name is not already used by someone else though.
Maybe after 6 months inactivity then the name will be unlocked (by deleting it from that account) so others can use it again. If the inactive player returns after the 6 months, then they could always re enter it, if its not been taken by someone else.
This would also encourage players to use the same name each round, as it gets confusing when someone uses a different name each round. Although I guess they should be able to change names whenever they want...probably...
