Being the dev, your not allowed to make evil faces. Cause if you whooped our butts, we would have to chalk it up to game altering for your benefit.

Hey, if we are better we win...if not we loose...I don't think they will cheat, their is no point. And anyway, cheating is boring, sure you can win, but what does that mean if you didn't get it fairly? Nah...I expect to loose to the devs the first few times, back a long time back everyone said the same at the start of DQ:E, because the devs were stonger etc...but thats because they know the game and all the tricks.

In DQ:E I am sure we could build fleets much stronger than those back then, because we know all the tricks now

Even now no players can get close to beating us when we we play DQ:E, and they probably think we cheat, I know people have said it to me, because I can grow from nothing to 100,000 points in maybe a day. But thats without cheating, even though no one will belive it at times...

And if the devs cant win without being accused of cheating, then that just makes the game boring, you need them to take an active part in the game and join the players in battle

Heh, probably, if DQ:E and BH were anything to go by then yeah ...but not me, I prefer more covert attacks, joining enemy alliances to spy, getting others to join to spy for me, out thinking the enemy, thats my kind of battle tactic

In DQ:E I used to send 'mirage' fleets. Lots of fleets of 1 fighter to surround the enemy, and they did not know where my real fleet was, also made psi storming my fleet hard At times I lured enemy fleets out of the star this way so I could invade easily..., or made them waste their resources psi storming single fighters.

Thats my plans, to come up with some good tactics and tricks

Depending on how good ground bombardments are, i plan to do that.

Last round, i managed fusion bombs around the time you got colony ships. If i couldnt shoot down your ships, id level your planets

Hopefully i can do similar this round too.

I didnt mean right now...

So i guess we're going to test quality vs quantity? My empire being quality, yours being quantity?

Nope, mine has quality and quantity

But seriously, 1 planets too much a risk, if you loose it everything is gone...a few is multiple targets, and better production...so...we will see...

BTW, their will be no battles this round anyway, check the to do forum...it has reste before battles...

Did he change it again? I consider that the reset...

Also, my planet HAS to be better quality at this moment then yours, theres no way yours is better if you went straight for colony ship.

I have farms, factorys, labs and recycling center. And an exploring ship. Thats all so far...

Build or researched? Theres no way theyre ALL built. Not if your dividing up jobs like i am.

Colony ship takes 80-70 turns regardless, which means 40 or so turns for everything else.

Theres no way you have all of those built.

I have the same and im building center now, plus i have 5 scouts and the ability to build colony ships.

Yeah, all built. I have 3 people on farming, 10 on production and 3 on science right now...but have to change that lower at times to get income...

I dont have col ships built yet, just researched...

The problem right now is maintenance, I am having to run on negative ammounts of income to have science, and I hope thats ok...but no idea how much money I have stored...maintenance is a big problem right now, and if col ships are 3% of original price to maintain, thats 45 per turn...no way I can support that...

So, I could build them over night...but couldnt maintain it if I did...and that is the biggest problem, even my buildings are costing 6 per turn, and really dont think they are making more than they cost...they seem to be more of a problem than a help, because while they make lots if I put all my population on that one task, farms need 6 people to make up for its own cost, and unless I have 7 on, then they make no profit...I dont need 7 people on food though...so...yeah...

I dont know, I can keep going, but their advantage is low...but Maverick did say that maintenance would be a problem this round...and it is...

I think building costs should be alot lower, so they actualy make a profit without needing half your population to do so...farms shuould either cost 1 per turn, or make alot more food than they do, thus making money and making up for its cost...this or food should be worth more money, like 2 per income or something, not 4...

Also ships should be lower. 45 maintenance for a single col ship is WAY too high, last round my BEST planet, with extra population because of the biosphere bug was making less than 400 income a turn, this was better than alpha gaea will be now, so now their is going to be even less income on the normal planets...

I dont really think col ships should need maintenance, they are self supported ships, so should take care of themselves, and also I prefer to build a few and keep them ready for later, at those costs no way will I be able to do that...

Anyway, it needs some balancing, so we will see after that

I have 4, 5, and 7 on those fields. And i just put in a colony ship for production because i have lots of aggravatingly long researches to do.

It makes MUCH more sense that you dont have one actually built

Honestly i dont understant or see how maintenance affects the empire in any way. Someone really has to dumb that down because high income or not, my stuff is running fine.

I have 1 income and 6 maintenance, but i cant, for the life of me, see how it affects my empire. Everything is running smoothly, if it wasnt, id be screwed right now...

Take care. You don't see your empire's treasure yet, but when it will be empty ships and buildings will be sold one by one.

Thats what I am worried about . I have loads stored overnight, been making 8 spare income for 12 hours or so, should have like 400 by now

I could keep a col ship for about 8 turns only though...should e enough I think to get a few planets near me, and in my home star...

I have changed maintenance for colony ship to 0.25% of its cost. So colony ship maintenance problem is solved. Should be about 3-4 for each colony ship.

Ok, thanks That should be fine now.

Also, maybe the research of some production buildings should be easier, or col ships cheaper (maybe 500) to help build them earlier...but either way, we will see how this works.
