New values set. Before making new designs, please take a look on values and lets discuss them. If everything is ok then we'll start testing.

They work very well for the big ships. Ive made some new classes im very proud of and think can do great things.

They are crap for the small ships, I barely found use for destroyers, i dont know how you could possibly use frigates or corvettes.

Edit: I have found a use for frigates Corvettes are simply too small though.

Thats because you expect everything on a ship

That and im comparing them to the firepower present in other ships. Ive found a use for them, but bombardments arent implemented yet.

Corvettes are cheap for the space they have, your paying least for each space compaired to other ships, although some has to be used for engines armour etc, but still. This was sort of the idea, corvettes work best with the small (earlier tech) weapons, so the old weapons still have some use after the new weapons are researched.

Also, the old weapons are much cheaper per damage than the newer weapons (old tech is usualy cheaper than new) and so in a corvette you may get most damage for money using the lazer for example, not sure. This needs to be tested though

Even now, the 12000+ spent on a titan, if you spent 12000 on corvettes how much damage could you do? I am thinking more than a single titan

I have the best possible titans and 2 of them out class the 12000 credits worth of corvettes, assuming the corvettes and nuclear engines and 11 lasers. I dont know about you, but right now im spending over 18000 credits per titan. Even at 18000 credits, just over 2 titans are stronger then that many corvettes.

By the way, are there plans for bombardments soon or more testing with battles first.

Well, for my designs 1 titan has less firepower then corvettes built for same cost. So I think it all depends on designs you are making.

Bombardment algorithm is in progress. There shouldn't be any problems. The main problem is how should a player give bombard order to a fleet.

I can implement it in 2 ways:

1.

- Implement bombardment algorithm.
- Bombardment will be possible via star map only.
- then implement fleet "command queue" (meanwhile you test bombardment)

2.

- implement fleet "command queue"
- implement bombardment algorithm.

Which one should I go?

I dont know if this is possible, but could clicking on an enemy/neutral planet bring up your list of fleets and on this you see all details of the fleet, including distance from the planet you clicked.

Then you could have like a check box, and the player selects all fleets they want to take part and clicks a confirm button.

Could that work?

Im not sure what the difference between either way is, but i like the "from star map only" part.

So you can activate a fleet and bomb a planet the same way you would colonize one?

For bombardment testing, lets take a few planets where each can invade the other, and not t attack the main planets.

Post your coords of your test planets so someone can invade, and build anything you need on them like defences etc.

Ok, let me build some colony ships and find good planets off to the left of my empire.

Edit: This may take some time sense you have all the planets worth colonizing. I dont want R or UR for this, but they grow fastest and you took all the good ones i can see as of now.

Heh, yeah

Build some freighters and put 100% population on production, you wont need to worry about food because your freighters will take care of it

How many freighters roughly? I tried doing that before and couldnt figure out how to work it.

You need 1 freighter per food per turn.

Basicaly each unit of food you need to transport takes 1 freighter, and this is needed every turn to keep supplying food to the planet.

You also need to have excess food production on some of your other planets, enough to cover whats needed on others.

Farmers or food production, cause all of my worlds have food production without farmers.
