IE6 has strange behavior
Seams that map double click should be backed up with some arrows to move around the map... noting that in TO DO list ...

Yeah, that could help. It would make it easier to move about also, even if you have a double click thing...

Also, the first time I login the galaxy map has the + and - zoom buttons at the top, and the loading circle is at the center of the screen. When I eturn to the map after going to another page (like science for example) it does not have the + and - zoom controls, and also the spining circle moves to the top right. Probably just IE6 again though...so I will see what happens in 7.

I have a few more researches until my Corvettes are ready to launch.

Also, I built a research facility around 8 hours ago and i thought it would be up by now, but its still in the queue. When will it finish?

Oh, and can we get colonization online? My planet is full.

Yeah, mine is in queue and has been for 3 turns...still not built yet...I have 2 workers so not sure if they are doing anything...

Not sure if buildings are working yet, I have had a fighter garrison since the start, but it never built...I dont have the right tech to build it, but it put it in queue when they were all their at the start

Yeah, mine is also. But col ships dont seem to have any space, and I need at least 10 for th engine...

Anyway, it will be ready when its ready

Buildings are not ready yet.

When you have something in queue, your production points are accumulated and when there are enough prodpoints to build something it will use them. Note that if you don't have anything in the queue production points will be converted into income.

I have 8 production from 6 workers now, and also 2 pollution. What happens with polution if I dont have buildings to take it away? Will it kill population?

Pollution just reduce your production and food gathering (in future it will decrease population growth even to negative value)

4 pollution reduces production by 1
2 pollution reduces food production by 1

I have a concern about research times.

Right now, the 50 tech point researches take only 10 turns, or even 2 turns if you have 5 or more tech specialists.

Without the speed increase, itll take 10 turns for the most basic researches to complete.

As of right now its taken emperor L roughly 90 turns to get to colonization ships, but if the 5x research time wasnt in, it would have taken 450, which is nearly half the time.

I think that researches should either be faster or the galaxy exponentially longer, especially since you cant do anything without research.

Its just a concern i have that researches take too long if you need 50 turns or so to research them. I think it could be quicker if you went 25,50,75,100 etc, instead of 50,100,150 etc.

Just my thoughts though.

That's called balancing Research, Buildings, Ships etc. costs and parameters will be changed during tests until we'll get it the most balanced.

Actualy, I was thinking the same thing, but I think the early techs should be maybe 10 points, but the later and advanced techs should still take alot of points.

It takes too long to get col ships, because at this point you only have 1 planet, but when you get maybe 10 or 20 planets then you could reasearch anything in 1 turn.

Right now the techs seem to all cost the same in each row, but if things like sheilds and advanced weapons took alot more points than the things you need early, then it would probably be better.

But anyway, like you say it will be balanced as it goes through.

EDIT: Maybe a possible science point system would be 5 > 10 > 15 > 25 > 50 > 75 > 100 > 150 > 200 > 300

I think that seems ok, but not sure...

I have just started building my latest class of ship, the 'Lazer Corvette'. It is equiped with 10 lazer turrets, so should be quite powerful

My next ship class will be a frigate, will have sheilds, photon torpedos, lazer turrets and also a faster ion drive for propulsion. Still researching for it...

How can you name ships with letters?

I have some, but with numbers only, i got an error message yelling at me to use alphanumberic only.

Oh, and i guess we'll be testing battles sometime soon since we're both militarizing.

After that, i think we should focus on expansion and more research just for shiggles.

Oh, and can you please modify colony ships so they can support at least the basic engines. Or just implement colonization, that would be swell

You cant use spaces, the names I posted here I put the space in, but when I named the ship I didnt have the spaces

Heh, heh...my ship is already on its way to your star I sent it last night, but its so slow its going to probably take a week to arrive...few days at least...

Dont atack it yet, I sent it to explore your star, not attack.

Anyway, I kind of like the fact ships are slow, it makes it more realistic, but I think wormholes are going to be really important in this game.

I am thinking that maybe warp stations would be useful also, instead of a wormhole linking 2 points, you could build several stations that form a network and you can warp between these.

Also, you could use allied stations also, to save everyone building them, and this would give alliances more advantage also.

Yeah, I want to colonise som more planets. I have explored 5 stars now, and have found a few decent planets.

I also have quite a good fleet now, 5 ships in total. One is whats I named a NuclearFrigate that has 10 Laser Turrets and 12 Nuclear Torpedos...

Its expencive, but should be quite strong. Will destroy a normal corvette in one attack

Heh, yeah. I have a few planets in mind alreay that I want...but I need to research colonisation for its type anyway, so that will be a little while anyway...still concentrating on stuff for my ships

Hehe, ive actually had 3 ships on their ways to your star. I call them Nuclear Bombers. Theyre frigates with Planetary Bombardment Nukes. 5 each. Dunno if they'll attack, but have fun

Also, im almost at cruisers, gotta research some weapons first.

Dont worry, they won't get near my planet

And if warp does what I think it does, they will be comming right back at you

BTW, can you see any of my ships? I cant see yours...so I dont know if that will be added later, I guess it will, because you should be able to see other ships...
