I suggest removing capital buying and selling from the game. Recently they have been abused by players to increase the strength of their mercs. As other races such as krong cannot sell their u2's- u4's, humans should not be able to sell/buy the most powerful ship in the game. It has thrown off the balance. People have made accounts for the sole purpose of building capital ships, selling them and transfering them to an ally.

true...i've been wondering about that myself..esp considerin how krong or fagur can't sell their units....it sorta makes sense in the idea that for krong, their units are their ppl...ant u can't really sell ppl..just like humans can't sell troops or population..

I personally dont think its unfair for krong...considering the amount of planets they can colonize and amount of orbital CECs they can build...they always seem to have surplus energy...as fog showed in TG last round...and y units are fairly expensive...so u can get a fair amount of money selling those..

However..i do agree that maybe krong should be able to sell their units..and maybe artificially raise and keep the price of spores high for fagur?

def. worth thinking about..

it may be wise to keep prices constant but at a lowish level

I'm not saying that u2's anizaks or w/e should be able to buy or sell, my only issue is the abuse of capital ships. They should only be able to be made not purchased. What i'm seeing in the eye is mercs hold a second account, they start off early with humans, build up to gather resources and once they get a good foundation abandon the account leaving it on building capital ships all the time, and only get on it to sell and transfer. If capital ships were removed, sure some players would still do this with basic resources, but it would not have an effect like what we are seeing in the eye.

I think to link Max prices of human ships to their build cost

so for example MaxCapitalPrice =1.5*(2000l*ShopMetalBuyPrice+2000*ShopEnergyBuyPrice);

it`s YOUR good idea ,skyrider!..-)))...but dont u think that alliance members can transfer money for humans for buing capital_ships by low price and have a really big fleets?-))...ur example isn`t the best suggestion imho.

i agree with shatter, to say humans are too weak is not right, they are just too slow, if they doubled their flight speed theyed do alot better. Most don't take the time to figure out the best way to use humans, they are powerful, a few well positioned production planets and that's all you need. It's just too hard to expand far distances, i think that needs to be fixed, but i say capitol ships need to be removed, it's just too abused, look at korvin in the eye, i hate to pick someone out, but for the first half he expanded and got a good min upkeep to build capitol ships, but now that his merc base is impossible to fight against, he's just discarded the account and has left it to die.

I thought it was illegal to have multiaccounts in same galaxy

That's not true, green says if you do no evil they don't care, but in this case there is multi account abuse. Right now they just want people using the galaxies so they don't care, but if it keeps up like this, they'll prolly end up taking away that privilage.

Another possibility would be to remove the ability to send money.

that isn't a good solution, starman is right, it's really hard to become strong without the assistance of allies, but capital ships throw off the balance of it all, sure krong could keep selling y-units and others could keep selling resources, but it has must less of an effect on the game. Right now, the mercs have just become personal war machines in the eye, they are far too strong to defend against or attack.

Very true.

I think that allowing more than one account per galaxy is unbalancing the game. The game was designed for each person to have only one account (per galaxy).
