My population has stopped growing on all my planets...this includes my home world and others that were full and I have moved population from...

I do have enough food production overall, and enough freighters...but not enough production on all planets, but still this should be fine, right?

Also, many planets have tons of spare food, but won't grow...it seems to be an empire wide problem, and not just a few planets...

Yeah, probably ...I am gaining from having negative income, your loosing for having positive income...everything seems to have suddenly gone wrong...are taxes implemented or something and I dont know? Because thats the only reason I can think of my population stopping...

Ok so i have stopped gaining population too. My 2 new planets are still at 2 people. Also, my research kinda got ruined, i lost 3 buildings from my main planet even though ive been consistently in the positive numbers with income.

You finaly lost some buildings . It took long enough . Anyway, my population hasnt grown at all over night, not even 0.1 on a single planet, so something is wrong...

Right, I have 1 planet supplying all my food now, the others make some automaticaly, but have no farmers, while my farming planet is 100% farmers. Makes enough to supply all 11 of my planets ...although most of those only have 2 people because my population wont grow...

Cool i was wondering if something like that could happen. Right now, all my planets do everything, i like having them function independently. I have no freighters. My income is over 100 per turn when im not making because all my planets do everything and all have extra.

By the way whats your total population, mine is about 40, if yours is as well, maybe Maverick put a catch in it so we wouldnt be playing too long before he reset or something?

I would be making so much if all my planets were fully populated, and with biospheres and terraformed to alpha gaea...but right now they just wont grow

Anyway, orbital farms are great. They make 30 food with no farmers, so thats enough for any planet...just build them everywhere, and your fine for food

But I prefer to give my planets certain jobs, and I build all the buildings for that job, so all farms on farm planets, all production on production, all science on science etc...this way I am not paying for maintenance on buildings I am not using 100%

My plan is to make every planet self sufficient with food using orbital farms, then just have spare planets for food incase anything happens, and make money from the spares...I have 50 freighters also, so enough for a few planets entire food usage...

Its exactly 55...but I gain 2 for every planet I colonise...

I can see why you have specialized planets, it makes sense to do it that way.

I prefer having all of my planets self sufficient, even if it does mean more maintenance fees, but this way i can lose say half my planets and not be screwed having no food or no industry.

If they all function seperatly and arent interconnected like that, then one or two links in the chain can fall off without the bicycle that is my empire going under.

Yeah, thats one problem, expecialy early on...but if I have several planets for each, its unlikely anyone will know the right planets to attack to destroy all my food or all production or something...I hope so anyway...

Ok, 22 planets and counting

So far they are all doing ok, but as soon as population growth is fixed they are going to grow so fast . My production should go through the roof then . 20 planets or so all growing at once...

How the hell did you get that many colony ships out so fast? I only have 2 planets that are worth anything, and they take a few turns to make colony ships.

I have like 5-6 planets, all large pelagic or terrestrial now, i prefer a small empire with more detailed games like this because i can never remember which planets need what after i have like 30 or so.

I havent bothered with science much, just what I need and nothing more, although I am researching a bit more now...I prefer to get a good size early on and keep building, once a planet has what it needs I build col ships and repeat that over and over

I am making over 100 production on some planets with only 2 people, when the population grows it should be alot higher

I want to use my DQ:E strategy if possible, take every good planet near the start so no other players get a chance, then I control the resources, and no one can stop me. It never fails in DQ:E, expecialy in the small galaxys

And then when I attack I only take enemy planets that are good, and this way I weaken them and gain from it, then they can attack if they want, but they wont nearly be able to match my production, so I can easily hold them off.

Anyway, I need to perfect my strategy for DQ:H, in DQ:E I can have 75 planets in the first 500 turns, and can keep up as that grows...col ships are much harder here though, but I can make them in about 10 turns, and if I can make 1 a turn on average over my whole empire that should be enough...I am close to that now...only problem I am running out of planets to colonise, need to explore faster

Yeah, thats the only problem...I am forgetting whats what, and also just ordering takes ages...also keeping all things positive is hard, although I am not trying right now because of that bug, but my guess is it will be fixed tomorrow morning, so I need everything positive by then...should be able to do that by stopping production in some areas...
