Hi, I noticed the service page is working now...

Anyway, just wanted to know how they work. I guess you just buy them with the credits.

So, I have 1000 credits already, so is it ok to use them now? I am guessing you need to buy these normaly.

Also, it seems that the explored planets dtabase has been unlocked for like the next year . But just one thing, it says 'Valid till:2009-09-12'

What date format is this? I know everywhere has its own format, here its usualy DD-MM-YYYY, but America I know uses month first or something like that, and I guess its always different.

So, is it possible in account page, or a preferences page to select the date format for how dates display? This would include forums and things also.

yes, you can try services now. Date is in European format DD-MM-YYYY . I'll change it to show date like '2009 Sep 12'.

Ok, I will test out things for 7 days. Bit busy right now though, going back to uni and things. But I will try and get back onto writing some stuff for the guide when things get back to normal...

EDIT: Seems the DQ:H server is down, so will try out the services when its back up.

I think it would be better if it was free to join an alliance, and you only pay credits to create your own. This way it will limit the number of alliances that exist, and players must pay if they want to lead an alliance...that seems more fair. Because otherwise no one will want to join any alliance and that will remove most player interaction in the game.

This way, for an alliance to exist it will need credits, but after this, its free to join so its at least going to get members.

Don't agree with you Yes we have a risk that people will not join alliances if the price is too high and there is no way to get credits without paying real money. But if price is acceptable then this will stop players to jump from one alliance to another.

Personally I prefer to have a price, even if it will be a symbolic one.

Is the price to join lower than the price to create? Or are they equal?

I think it would be better if join price was lower, like maybe half the price of creating alliance. This way everyone wont just create their own alliance, but will look to join up more.

Yes alliance creation cost is much higher them applying to. Currently alliance application costs 50 GC. I think it could be lowered a bit, but will see.

I guess there is a bug ant it doesn't take you credits for applying. Need to test. Someone please create an alliance so I could test it

Ok, I created my alliance (Great Galactic Guardians)

I got an error saying 'Permission Denied' when I tryed to create it, but its seemed to be created anyway. This happened in both galaxies when I created my alliance.

Also, what happens if you apply, and your request is declined by the alliance leader, do you get your credits back?

No, you don't get it back You should negotiate it first via messages with alliance leader
