Could the option to buy production be added, this can be at a cost of 1 money per production, so more expencive than waiting, but also provides instant production when needed, for example after starting a new colony if you wish to build a few basic buildings fast, then that will be possible.
Also, if your empire is starving, have the option to use money in place of food (basicaly buy food) for 1 money per food. This means that its expencive, but possible to keep your population alive if your food production falls.
Obviously this isnt something for long term use because its more expencive, and for every production you buy you have to have sold 2 elsewhere. And for food had to sell 4. But its good for emergencys

You will have the possibility to buy production points to speed up construction so next turn it will be finished. You'll have no possibility to buy food as it was not in concept from the beginning.

Ok, production is most important, will help alot. For food freighters help anyway, so its ok if you cant buy it.
