Hi,
The On-line Guide only explains the "Traders:Mercenary Services".
In latest releases I didn't worry about "Traders". Now, I like to understand the "proccess". 
It is correct:
. To make money, I need to go to "Goods Transfer" to transfer part of my resources to Trader's stock (100 turns = 50 hours). And after the transfer, I go to "Place sell order" and sell these transfered resources. Other players can buy my resources in "Go to market".
. If I need something, I go to "Go to market" link to buy resources from others players.
. In the "T-exchange", I can exchange my resources with Traders with a fee...
Is it?

I'm playing with Krong race. Some resources like metal, crystal, energy and Y-units in the market I can buy and I can use them. Others like biogel, Human fighter, Mercenary spy, etc, I can buy too. Can I use them? Or Are they only to negotiate?

No, you can not... All resources used by Krong are - Energy, Metals, Crystals, Y-Units... and time...
