I did some recoding of colonies page and implemented freighters.

Now if your planet have food shortage and you have some free freighters and extra food production on other planets, then freighters will transfer these food to planets in need (limited by extra food amount and freighters count)

If you want to transfer population from one system to another freighters will be used. Note: for population transfer freighters will be used regardless of food transfer needs, i.e. population transfer first then food transfer.

Need some hints for colonization screen:

- Place mouse over planet to get short info.
- Click planet to switch to Colony screen.
- Drag population to distribute assignments or transfer to another planet.
- Click greyed population to see transfer schedule.

Please advice.

Ok, I set some to order, and will try them out next turn. Just one thing, they only have 10 space, so the maximum speed is 2...does speed matter with freihters, because it will take forever at that speed...

How exactly do they work with food? Do they travel, or does just having them allow food to be shared?

What about population, does this move instantly, or have to travel between the 2 planets?

Also, how many freighters do you need? Just 1 for all food, or 1 per food per turn? + 1 per population movement each turn?

Oh, and another totaly unrelated question, in the game how far is 1 light year? Its not 1 quadrant like in DQ:E, so how many light years are in a quadrant?

You can click and drag population from one planet or assignment to another.

- Click greyed population to see transfer schedule.

Click [insert grey symbol here] to view transport schedule.

Not sure if this is what you want, but these are just short descriptions of what to do.

BTW, I like the square around planets that are highlighted. Could it be possible to add a second square around the planet last clicked? So you know the last planet you viewed the colony page of? Maybe a white square for cliked planet, and the purple square for last hovered over planet.

Yes, their speed is 2, at least for now. It maybe slow but I think is strategically it is ok.

They do not travel as your fleets do, but allow you to "instantly" share food and transfer population with a delay (as if they were traveling)

Population is "traveling".

1 freighter can carry 1 food or 1 population.

Well, here 1 LY is 1 coordinate. So if you have a star at 1:0 and another at 2:0 it means that stars are 1 LY distant.

I don't know if it easy to add this, but I plan to add next/previous planet buttons in Colony screen, so you could pass all your colonies from one place.

That would be good. Anything that makes it easier to go through all your planets so you dont miss any.

The text on the colony screen seems to be displaying as all lower case, should have capitals at the start of each sentance...but when I copy and paste it is correct, so maybe it is the font being used?

Ok so freighters are good for people at food i guess?

Is there any way you could add like a Empire Grand Total screen that lists the combine numbers of all your planets?

Like total research, food, income etc.

I would think either in its own screen or as the "main" part of the colony screen when you dont have anything selected.

Yeah, a screen that has lots of empire details like numbers of ships and resources and production and people and planets etc would be good.

Maybe this could be the main page, when you first log in to galaxy, instead of map?
