Ok, I have written some of the resources page, but so far have a few problems with some symbols.
Firstly the same symbol is used for empire treasure and income. Is it possible to have 2 different symbols for these.
Maybe empire treasure can be kept as the 3 coins symbol, but for income add a green + sign by this. That should make it more clear exactly what is what.
Anyway, here is the tet for the resources page:
--------------------------------------------------------
In Delta Quadrant: Horizons, your empire requires many resources in order to work effectively. In this section you can find the details of each resource, what they are used for and how they affect your empire.
Food:
A single unit of food is required to support 1 million population [insert symbol]. Usually planets must produce enough food for its own population, however if you have spare freighters [insert symbol], then excess food can be brought in from other colonies if you run short.
Production Points:
Production points are required for building space ships and buildings. Each colony produces a certain amount of production points each turn, and this will effect time it takes to build things at that planet.
Research Points:
Research points are required to progress along the tech tree, and research new technologies. For more information about research see the Science section.
Freighters:
Freighters are a special type of ship that are used to transport food [insert symbol] and specialists [insert symbol] around your empire. A single freighter can transport 1 specialist or 1 unit of food between two colonies at a given time. Specialists takes time to move, depending on the distance between the two colonies, but each spare freighter will automatically transport 1 unit of excess food each turn to another colony if it runs short.
Note that moving specialists between two planets in the same star system does not require freighters, and will take effect immediately.
Population:
Population is measured in millions. Each million population on a planet adds an extra specialist [insert grey specialist symbol] to that planet.
Specialists:
Specialists represent 1 million population at a particular colony. Specialists can be moved between colonies using freighters [insert symbol] and can also be assigned to various jobs in order to increase production in that area. The three areas are Farming, Production and Research. In each case the symbol used to represent the specialist is different.
[Grey symbol] = Unassigned
[Yellow symbol] = Farmer (specialist assigned to farming)
[Blue symbol] = Worker (specialist assigned to industry)
[Green symbol] = Scientist (specialist assigned to research)
Note that by default specialists are assigned to farming.
Empire Treasure:
The empire treasury holds the total amount of money that your empire owns. This money is required for maintenance [insert symbol] of your buildings and ships, but can also be used to purchase production points [insert symbol] at a particular colony in order to speed up the building time of a selected item.
Resource Limitations
While many resources are needed by your empire, there are also some limitations that have an effect on how fast you can produce a particular resource, and some may even have a negative impact on your empire.
Maintenance:
Some buildings and space ships require money [insert symbol] each turn for maintenance. This is subtracted from your empire treasury. If you do not have sufficient funds to pay these costs then some buildings and ships will be destroyed.
Pollution:
Your production buildings also produce pollution, and if left unchecked will cause your population growth rate [insert symbol] to fall, and even become negative. Pollution also affects the food [insert symbol] and production points [insert symbol] made on your planet.
Income:
Income is the amount of money made by your colonies and empire each turn, and is added to your empire treasury. Income is made from selling excess food [insert symbol] and production [insert symbol] made by your colonies.
Population growth rate:
Population growth rate is the speed at which your population grows on a particular colony. It is affected by the planets class, pollution [insert symbol] and some buildings. While population growth increases the number of specialists [insert grey specialist symbol] on a planet, it also increases the amount of food [insert symbol] required.
Max Population:
This is the maximum population that a planet can support. When your population at a certain planet reaches its maximum, it will stop growing.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I think thats everything, but I could have missed some. Just let me know and I will write them up if I have.

Here is some text for the components page:
-------------------------------------------
Your ships need components in order to move and fight. There are several categories of component, each affecting your ships performance in different ways. Within each category there are many individual components that can be researched and built.
For information on ships in general, and how to design and build them see the Ships page.
Engines:
Engines are required for your ships to move so ships must have an engine before it can be accepted as a valid design. Engines have a propulsion value that affects the final speed of the ship. This value is added the propulsion bonus of the ship class. Only one engine can be equiped on a single ship.
Armours:
Armour increases the Armour Points of a ship, so your ship can survive longer in battle. The value is multiplied by the ships size, and added to the base Armour Points of the ship class. Armour can be recovered by 10% each turn at any own or allied star system. Only one type of armour can be equiped on a single ship.
Shield generators:
Shields provide a further line of defence for your ship, and take damage before the ship armour. Shields also recover by 10% each turn, no matter where the ship is located. Only one shield can be equiped on a single ship.
Electronics:
Battle computers affect the accuracy and effectiveness of your ships weapons, and therefore increase the attack power of your ship by a given percentage. Only one battle computer can be equiped on a single ship.
Beams:
Beams type weapons fire a beam of energy or matter that causes damage to enemy ships and orbital buildings. Beams often have a shorter range than torpedoes. Multiple beams of the same or different types can be equiped on a single ship.
Torpedoes:
Torpedoes can be fired at enemy ships and orbital buildings in order to cause damage. They often have a longer range than beams. Multiple torpedoes of the same or different types can be equiped on a single ship.
Bombs:
Bombs are used for bombarding a planet. They cause damage to ground based buildings and troops. Multiple bombs of the same or different types can be equiped on a single ship.
-----------------------------------------
The first bit is for the top, and the rest for each component type section.

Ok, I think nex to do is the empire page. So, I was thinking this page should explain basics of your empire. So, I was thinking something like:
Short description about empires in DQ:H. This could be based on the game description first part, just explain how you start with a single planet, and can grow and explore etc.
Next a bit about how to create an empire. This explains how to register in a galaxy etc.
Next a bit about empire selection screen. This explains how to choose what empire in what galaxy you want to play.
Then, a description of the Headquarters page, and empire notifications, and info on right.
Anything else needed for the empire page? I will try and write this up soon.

Also, for the services section, I was thinking something like:
Description of what services are, and that they use Galactic Credits.
Description of Galactic Credits and how to get them.
List of services and details.
For this it will need all things that use credits, so far I know of:
Remove adds
Enable Planets list
Unlimited Research Queue
Unlimited Build Queue
Also:
Rename planets
Start alliance
Join alliance
Is there anything else that uses credits?

| Currently we have only this one. I think that we shouldn't list all services here as we could add or remove some in future.

I think the guide is starting to look quite good now.
But is everything so far correct and accurate? Also, I think some pages just require a little bit of change to be perfect.
So, here are some ideas:
Resources page:
Could the section 'Resource Limitations ahve some hrozzontal lines above below to make it more of a section header, the others are all fine.
Also, the sections for max population and population growth rate need the symbols adding near the start after the words for them. Also the mintenance section could also.
In the science section could the bit that says 'See science section' be a link
-------------------------------------
Buildings Page:
Could the part that says "Buildings are separated into two main types, Orbital and Ground Based. The two types function differently due to their location, however they perform the same types of service." have 'Orbital' and 'Ground Based' made into links to the two pages about this.
Also, at the bottom could the specialist symbol be added after 'In order for some buildings to be of use, or reach their maximum potential, specialists'
Also, could the words 'farming' and 'production' be made yellow and blue.
----------------------------------------
Ground Buildings Page:
Could the top section have the words 'population as workers' replaced with 'specialists [insert symbol]'.
In the top section could symbols for Food, Waste and Maintenance be added by the words.
----------------------------------------
Orbital Buildings Page:
Could the second sentance at the top be changed to:
'Few are affected by specialist [insert symbol] assignments or the planet where they are built, so will always work the same no matter what happens on the ground. '
---------------------------------------
After this, all those pages seem fine, as long as everything is correct, I think it is, but not sure...

Here is some text for the empires page:
--------------------------------------------------
In Delta Quadrant: Horizons, you start with a small empire that has a single planet, and is almost ready to venture into space. But space is a dangerous place, and to flourish an empire needs but one thing: a good leader. You must lead your empire, control how it grows, manage your relations and military, and decide the best course of action at every step along the path to victory.
Getting Started:
Before you can create an empire, you must first have logged in to an active account for Delta Quadrant: Horizons. You can log in from the Main Page (make link).
If you do not have an account yet, you can register here [make link].
Once you are logged in you will be presented with the Empire Selection screen.
Each player may create an empire in multiple galaxies at the same time, however only one empire per player is allowed in each individual galaxy at any one time.
To create a new empire, select an active galaxy by clicking its picture, and you will be taken to the empire creation page. Here you must enter a name for your empire and leader. When you are ready click ‘Create’, and if everything was correct, your empire will be created.
[Need information about what happens next]
Empire Selection:
Each time you log into Delta Quadrant: Horizons you will be presented with the Empire Selection screen. From this page you can view the current status of each galaxy, as well as create and access your own empires. For details about empire creation, see the section ‘Getting Started’ above. To access an existing empire, select it from the list at the top of the page.
At any time you can return to the empire selection page by clicking the ‘Return to empires selection’ icon [insert icon] at the top of the page.
Headquarters:
The headquarters page [insert icon] shows a basic rundown of your empires information and status. The top shows details such as your name and country (as entered on your profile page), as well as your empire name, ruler name and the name of your capital planet.
To the right is a list of statistics related to your empire and below this, your current research topic is shown.
The main body of the page is used for empire notifications, these will inform you of certain events that happen in your empire, such the completion of a new building or ship, or if you are attacked.
You can mark a notification as read by clicking the [insert green tick] icon, and can then delete all read messages, or all messages using the buttons at the bottom. You can delete an individual message by clicking [insert red x].
---------------------------------------
What happens after your empire is created, do you return to the empire selection screen? Also, if you try and create an empire in a galaxy where you already have an empire, what happens? Do you get an error message, or will it replace your existing empire. Can you delete an empire also?
Also, can you change your home planet, and what happens if your home planet is destroyed/invaded. Does this need testing?
I think a short description about home planet is needed on this page also.

Quote Getting Started ... [Need information about what happens next]
|
| It will return you to empire selection screen.
DONE.
DONE. Didn't add last phrase about notification functionality. Other functionality will be added in time and everything is quite obvious.
Quote What happens after your empire is created, do you return to the empire selection screen?
|
| Yes, you return to selection screen.
Quote Also, if you try and create an empire in a galaxy where you already have an empire, what happens? Do you get an error message, or will it replace your existing empire.
|
| Depending on set criteria you'll get an error or another empire will be created. Your old empire is not replaced.
Quote Can you delete an empire also?
|
| Currently, no. But you'll be able to surrender and your empire will be considered as defeated, all your colonies freed. You'll not be able to create new empire with same name until galaxy reset.
Quote Also, can you change your home planet, and what happens if your home planet is destroyed/invaded. Does this need testing?
|
| Partially implemented, will need testing later.
Quote I think a short description about home planet is needed on this page also.
|
| No need really. Home planet doesn't give you something special. It was used as map centre when showing flash map. In future it will be used even less.

DQ:H is a new game that is still being made, its based in the same universe as DQ:E, and is also a browser based game, but its quite different in how it works.
You only play as humans, and you get a lot more control over your empire than in DQ:E. For example you can name planets, and design ships, and research is a much bigger thing also.
Anyway, Maverick can probably tell you more

So what exactly happens then, if another is created, do you have 2 empires shown for the same galaxy? I tried and got the error saying my max limit for galaxy was reached, but is it in theory possible to have 2 empires in same galaxy with 1 account? Does this need explaining, or it the bit below accurate:
"Each player may create an empire in multiple galaxies at the same time, however only one empire per player is allowed in each individual galaxy at any one time."

Ok, when its implemented I will write a bit for this.
Anyway, I am busy the next few days so wont have much time to write much, but next section will probably be the Colonies secton, I will think of a plan for it and post it soon.
