We urgently need an FAQ for DQ:H. I plan to add a shortcut on control page. A list of first questions can already be found in ingame forums Would you be so kind and prepare it so I could implement it?

Ok I will write a introduction for it later.

How exactly should it be laid out? Maybe splitting questions into catogorys would work best (I will try and think of some when questions are added).

All questions will be displayed on main FAQ page, as a link within catogory. And each catogory will have its own answers page, with ancohors to each question. Any that fit in several catogorys, I have put '- See ...' by them. For these, they do not need to be links, but will point to the catogory where they are answered.

So, here are some questions for FAQ (From last round, this round, and I made a few I know will be asked ). I will organise them into basic catogorys for now.

Empire Development:

How does research work?
How do I explore stars?
How do I colonize a planet? - See Planets and Colonies

Planets and Colonies:

How does mineral abundance affect a colony?
How do I colonize a planet?
Can I colonize a planet in a star where another player has a planet?
How does terraforming affect a planet?
How do I make population grow?
How can I use the barracks to make soldiers?
How can I use the armour barracks to make mechs?
How can I use the fighter garrison to make fighters?

Ships and Fleets:

How do I order/build ships?
Why did my ship disappear?
How do you attack another empire? - See Relations and Battles.
How do battle computers help in battle?

Relations and Battles:

How do you declare war and propose peace?
What is NAP?
How do I propose/accept NAP?
How do you attack another empire?

Resources:

How do I get more Galactic Credits (GC)? - See Services
How do I get money?

Game Rounds and Turns:

How long is a turn?
How many turns are their in a round?
What happens at the end of the round?

Services:

How do I get more Galactic Credits (GC)?

--------------------------------------------------------

I will write some answers soon.

Here are answers for Empire Development:

Q: How does research work?

A:You can research new technologies using research points [symbol]. These are made by your scientists[symbol] and science buildings.

To select a technology go to the Research and Technology screen [symbol], and add technologies to the research queue.

See the [link]Science[/link] section of the guide for more information.

Q: How do I explore stars?

A: You can explore stars by sending a fleet to them. You can use any fleet, however drones are good for exploring as they are cheap, fast and available near the start.

Here is answers for Planets and Colonies:

Q: How does mineral abundance affect a colony?

Mineral abundance affects the amount of production your planet makes. An average planet make production directly related to the buildings and number of workers assigned at it. All other levels increase or decrease production as follows:

Ultra Rich: +50%
Rich: +25%
Poor: - 25%
Ultra Poor: -50%

[red]Note:[/red] Other factors can also influence the production rate at a colony, such as pollution and the planets gravity.

Q: How do I colonize a planet?

A: You can colonise a planet using a Colonization Ship. If you have a colonization ship, and have researched X-Colonization, then click a planet you wish to colonize, and confirm, and the nearest available colonization ship will be sent to colonize the planet.

[red]Note:[/red] A colonization limit prevents you from expanding beyond a certain size, once reached you can not colonize more planets.

For more information and other ways to colonize a planet, see the [link]Colonies[/link] section of the guide.

Q: Can I colonize a planet in a star where another player has a planet?

A: Yes, you can colonize any empty planet you want. However, if another empire has a fleet in that system, it may attack your colonization ship, depending on both your fleet and the other empires fleet tactics, and your relation to the other empire. It can be a good idea to send a drone first in this situation, to see if that is attacked.

For more information about fleet tactics see the [link]Formations & Tactics[/link] section of the guide.

Q: How does terraforming affect a planet?

A: Terraforming increases a planets class by 1 level, such as from crystalline to adaptable. This will increase the max population, population growth rate, and food output at that colony, and make it more valuable.

See the [link]Planets[/link] section of guide for more information about terraforming and planet classes.

Q: How do I make population grow?

A: Your population grows automatically over time, depending on its population growth rate. This is affected by the planet class and if you have any population growth rate increasing buildings on the planet. [check this]Pollution also affects your population growth rate, causing it to decrease.[/check]

[red]Note:[/red] Your planet has a max population. One reached, your population will stop growing on this planet.

Q: How can I use the barracks to make soldiers?

A: Your barracks will automatically produce soldiers over time, until they are full. After this point they will stop producing soldiers.

Q: How can I use the armour barracks to make mechs?

A: Your armour barracks will automatically produce mechs over time, until they are full. After this point they will stop producing mechs.

Q: How can I use the fighter garrison to make fighters?

A: Your fighter garrisons will automatically produce fighters over time, until they are full. After this point they will stop producing fighters.

-------------------------------------------------------

And a few non FAQ questions:

Does pollution affect population growth rate. Just I have never seen it. How much if yes?

Does anything effect max number or production rate of soldiers/mechs/fighters? Like planet size or class?

Here are answers for Ships and Fleets:

Q: How do I order/build ships?

A:You can order ships from any of your planets, but first you need an existing ship design

To make a ship design, you must have researched a ship class, and at least an engine. Once you have these, you can design a ship from the Ship Designer [icon]. See the [link]Ships[/link] page of the guide for further help on making a design.

Once you have a design, access the colony screen, and open the ship yard [icon]. Now expand the list and click [add] by the ship you wish to build. The item will be added to the colony queue, and build once you have enough production points [symbol] for its completion.

See the [link]Colonies[/link] page of the guide for more information about the ship designer and colony queue.

[red]Note:[/red] Unless you have the 'Unlimited colony queue' service activated, the colony queue has a maximum length of 9 items. Once full, no new items can be added until some are completed or removed. See the [link]Services[/link] page of the guide for details of activating services.

Q: Why did my ship disappear?

A: This is most likely because you had insufficient funds in your empire treasury to pay the ships maintenance costs. If this happens, then some ships or buildings may be scrapped. You should have received a notification on headquarters page [icon].

It is also possible you were attacked, check the Battle Reports [icon]screen to see if this was the case.

For more information about battle reports, see the [link]Battles[/link] page of the guide.

Q: How do battle computers help in battle?

A: In Delta Quadrant: Horizons, many factors influence the accuracy of your weapons. Battle computers increase the accuracy of your ships weapons, and therefore result in more damage done by your ship.

Here are answers for Relations and Battles:

Q: How do you declare war and propose peace?

A: Currently, only alliances may be at war or propose peace, and only against other alliances.

If you are an alliance leader, then you may change your alliances relation to another from the 'Relations' tab of the alliance screen [icon].

To declare war, click [icon] by an alliance name. If you are already at war, click [icon] to propose peace.

For more information about alliances and relations, see the [link]Alliances[/link] section of the guide.

Q: What is NAP?

A: NAP stands for Non-aggression Pact. It basically means that your alliance, and another alliance agree not to attack each other.

For more information see the [link]Alliances[/link] section of the guide.

Q: How do I propose/accept NAP?

A: Only alliances may have a NAP, and only with other alliances

If you are an alliance leader, then you may accept or propose a NAP with another alliance from the 'Relations' tab of the alliance screen [icon]. Just click [icon] by the alliance name. If you are at war, you must first propose peace, before you can propose a NAP.

For more information about alliances and relations, see the [link]Alliances[/link] section of the guide.

Q: How do you attack another empire?

A:You can attack another empire (that you do not have NAP with) by sending a fleet with aggressive status (or guard status if you are at war) to the same star as a fleet from another empire. Upon arrival your fleet will attack and start a Space Battle.

For invasion you must specifically give your fleets the command to invade a planet, and must have transports in your fleet. Likewise to bombard you must have fleets equipped with bombs in your fleet, and must give the command to bombard.

For more information about how to invade/attack, or how to move your fleets see the [link]Controlling Fleets[/link] section of the guide.

Some more answers:

Resources:

Q: How do I get money?

A: You gain money from any excess food or production points made each turn. These are automatically sold, and the money added to your empire treasury.

Currently, [insert number] units of food = 1 money, and [insert number] units of production = 1 money.

[red]Note:[/red] Any food or production points remaining after money is calculated, will be lost, and are not carried over to the next turn.

Game Rounds and Turns:

Q: How long is a turn?

A: Currently a turn is 15 minutes long. You can see a countdown to the next turn, using the clock in the top right corner of the game screen.

Q: How many turns are their in a round?

A: There are currently 2500 turns per round.

Q: What happens at the end of the round?

A:At the end of the round, time stops and players scores are used to increase all time score. Players in top positions also receive some GC as a reward.

After this, the galaxy will remain inactive, until it is reset.

See the [link]Services[/link] page of the guide for more information about rewards at the end of a round.

Services:

Q: How do I get more Galactic Credits (GC)?

A: See the [link]Services[/link] page of the guide for details about acquiring galactic credits.

I see it as single page as its usually done. If needed we'll reorganize it later.

No.

Production rate is not influenced in any way. Max number is limited by number of population on planet. 1M population can hold 4 troops, 2 mechs and 1 fighter.

Is it possible to just display questions on FAQ pag, and have a way to expand it, to display the answer?

Also, a few questions I had placed the question in more than one catogory, and I though, that the question would link to the answer...so I didnt write answer twice. There are a few places like this, where I put 'See...' by them. Maybe change these to include answer, or link to answer so they can be found in either catogory...as thefit in both
