When someone creates a black hole that destroys planets or nodes/fleets that I own, I think that the news item should say who was responsible.

that sounds good but too easy

there should be a way of finding out but not that easy i guess
just leave some y units on aggressive i gues then if you lose the battle you will see who it was

I dont see why its too easy, considering when a human bombards or fagur assimilates or merc raids, u can see who did it. Because one doesn't know who created the black hole, a krong can easily wipe out another empire out of, say, vendetta, without the other empire never even knowing who did it. Since black hole making is supposedly a balance for the fact that they can't bombard well, then why not let it atleast have some of the drawbacks of bombing..
or make it so that if a planet gets bombed to oblivion, then the empire will not know who bombed...oor what not..

possibly it is your enemy or ally of you enemy who wipe your colonies. Or you are so unlucky that you are with the same system with someone who is enemy of a krong player. it is always have purpose to make black hole, u4 is too expensive to use just for fun.

It don't really care why they do it. It's war out there. I get that. I believe that I should be able to know who I should retaliate against.

That won't necessarily work. Units from another empire could come through the system and wipe out the Y-units before the U4 arrives.
