There could be a separate market area for selling ships, resources etc. Alliances could choose how much of an item they want to sell and for what price.
They would have to be competative with the main traders market (sell for a lower than the buy price) but also gain more than by selling to the traders market (sell for more than the sell price).
The cost of things on the traders market could also be effected by what is being sold here.
