I just thought of some idea's for the game, So I thought I would share them.

Revenue & Support:
Adding some sort of population support and a tax system with the higher the tax rate the lower the support of the population but an increase in money (the rarely used stuff) also a new type of bulding to go along with mining, military, farming etc could be entertainment which would increase the populations support. Also adding some sort of disadvantage for low population support (loss of population, ships leaving, riots [destroy some building or something] or maybe even joining a near by empire? for a few idea's) this would make management of the planets slightly more interesting than just building numerous units and building's and also even open up a new job for mercs, terrorism which would lower the support of a planet.

Ships & Ground:
I have only played human's so far so I cant think of many idea's for the other races but the amount of ships (fighter, bomber and capital) just seems a bit small ships such as Corvettes, Destroyers, BattleCruisers etc could make for more interesting fleet formations. Tanks could even be used aswell as troops with say 1 tank being equal to 3 troops but costing 4 times as much but giving more room on a transport or something like that to make them a choice between what to use.

Cutting back on BH's:
The amount of BH's is kinda wierd just one would probaly be enough to wipe out a huge portion of a galaxy in time, and if Virgo is anything to judge by I would say that everyone would be screwed by the sheer amount of them, possibly making it harder to create a black hole but make it engulf more planets could possibly lessen the numbers in a galaxy also the increased range of a black hole could make it affect other people which could create more problems with other empires and make their usage lower.

Trade Routes:
Another Idea is trade routes they would just be ships that travel from a planet to another and when ever they arrive back at their home planet they generate some income or minerals or ships or something, This could also make a new tactic for wars distrupting the enemies trade routes it would also increase the value of money as its kind of pointless at the moment.

I thought of alot more but its not coming to my mind at the moment but thats just a few idea's.

Robbie, your ideas are great! but i do believe the emphisis is NOT on micro-mangement in this game...although i believ the 'trade routes' idea is awesome, would give the mercs sumfin to shoot for, quite litterally

Good things but they work good in DG, and Utopia! Or other relative games! Here the rules of the world is quete diferent!

Not say your ideas are not good, but try other 3 races and then you'll understand, why your ideas are not applicable to this game
