I find it really quite hard to use fleet movement right now.

The problem is that to send a fleet you need to know where it is, and where you want it to go. Also, you have to remember a lot if information between screens, and at times the infomration cant be found. Here are a few ideas

On map have a way to search stars by name. This will center map on selected star.

By default center map on home system.

Hover over stars on map to view name.

When clicking a star, have a new 'Star menu' that shows system view as is, but also allows you to see all your fleets, (and all ships in that fleet) and then select that fleet to move to that system. This could be similar to the fleets screen in DQ:E.

Also, planets search is very hard to use for colonisation right now, it gives option to colonise, but you have no idea where that planet is, I sent out 2 colonisation ships that will take several hundred turns to arrive, as I had no way to search by distance, and no way to check where the star was on map.

Maybe, have a 'distance from nearest idle col ship', on the page would help. Then order planets in search by this value.

Also, by 'nearest' col ship, is this the ship that is closest, or the ship that will arrive quickest? I mean if I had a col ship with speed of 1LY at 100LY away, and another with speed 7LY at 200LY away, then what would be sent? Obviously the first is closest, but the second would get there quicker.

Also, could col ships have some base speed boost (maybe 2) as colonisation take FOREVER near the start, I sent a ship to a star really colse, and it took 40+ turns.

Also, could fleets have an option to cancel movement. This could basicaly send the ship to the nearest star system to it, by adding that into its path. If this can't work, then return to start would also work ok.

For exploring, could fleets have an 'Auto explore' option, where they move to nearest unexplored star automaticaly, and keep on doing this.

And finaly, when clicking a fleet on map, could it show the owner?

Thats lots of things, but I think its needed to make the fleets part more usable.

EDIT:

Also, if a ship has already been sent to a planet, and you try and send another, could a message tell you this? Also, if an ally has aready sent a ship, could it tell you also? You will have option to send another anyway, or cancel.

Also, is it possible to make the ship movement line invisible behind the ship?

By this, I mean the line only shows where the ship has left to travel, and not where it has moved from.

Putting it to proposed features.

Only distance from nearest colonization ship will be shown. This is in progress already.

Nearest is by distance.

Colonizing a planet should be more strategical then who is faster, so in my oppinion slow colonization ships are an important point in the game.

Canceling current jump is already implemented. See path management. When canceling it will reste entire path and revert traveling direction returning to the star it strating from.

I'll put this in proposals, as we have several ideas for auto exploring.

It has an "i" icon in the list that is meat to show details for a fleet.
