I think the ability to give standing orders would enhance this game a lot.. What I mean is:
Without standing orders: I build a colonization ship.. I go to school.. while I'm in school the colonization ship finishes being built and justs remains in the system.. I come back from school.. I send it to colonize a planet.
With standing orders: I build a colonization ship and command it to colonize a certain planet after being built... while I'm in school the colonization ship finishes being build and is sent on its way.. I come back from school.. and I'm wayy ahead that I would be without standing orders..
This applies for other things too.. like having a fleet standing orders que:
Without standing orders: I send fleet to attack system.. I go to school... while I'm school the fleet finishes the battle and stays around in the system.. the person I attacked retaliates and demolishes my fleet.. I come back from school.. and I'm worth many ships less than I was before I went to school
With standing orders: I send fleet to attack system and give it a consecutive order to 'fade-away' to a different system.. the person I attacked loses the battle and can't retaliate on the fleet that attacked him.. I come back from school.. and I'm (probably) worth just as much/more than I was before..
There are soo many applications for this ..  Just an idea

BTW.. I got this idea from Ferion.. which I started playing after seeing all these references to Ferion vs DQ:empires..
I like DQ a lott better though

We do them quite often. If your suggestions are accepted and do not require big code change we might implement it in matter of days, otherwise we'll note it for future big change.
That of course if we have some free time
