Here's a few additions to this report that I think would be nice to have:
1. A checkbox labeled "Or better" in the resource filter, with the obvious functionality: Eg. if user selects "Average", the report will also include planets with "Rich" and "Ultra Rich" if this box is checked.
2. A similar checkbox in the planet type filter.
3. Textboxes to enter X/Y coordinates of a reference point to use in conjunction with the "Range" filter. Currently the range calculated seems to be the range to the home system, but most of the time I have been more interested in the range to one or more colony ships.
4. In addition to free planets and planets occupied by a specific empire, I would like the option to search planets occupied by any empire.
5. An additional column in the report, listing the range to the reference point mentioned in 3 above.
6. As I believe someone else mentioned also, the ability to sort the list according to range, size, planet type, resources. This would require a slight rearrangement of the report, so that planet type, size and orbit is reported in seperate columns, of course.

I agree with almost all your suggestions and we plan to inplement some of them in new galaxies. But before that I would like to hear what do other players think about it.

Completly agree with zoo.
Plus, and i know this might be stretching things a little...
...i've always wanted to be able to see what each planet was actually producing so i could track down precisely which planet was wasting effort and producing the 95000 minerals every turn.
And whilst i'm getting too detailed a "maximum" population shown somewhere - i think its been suggested that i can calculate this manually but i really cant be bothered when a computer can actually get it right every time.
Thanks
Ps I'm completly blown away that the extended empire status screen recalculates every time - aint firebird wonderful!

I have a sugestion for mercs. I think in merc known planet report there should be a check box "occupied planet only". Mercs have no use of free planets anyway, and sometimes it might be a bit dificult to find a nice target, that doesn't belong to any alliance.

| Yes for mercs it indeed important. Maybe this feature will be usefull for all races?

might be, but it could also be a reflection of the better information system, the mercs use, so an ally has a reason to recruit mercs as well, to be able to us this information system that way
